The courts are open from May 12th to Labor Day, 0800 to 2000 hours 7 days a week. Clinics, lessons, inter-club matches and special events will have priority court time. Court etiquette is to be observed at all times.
Adults (18 years of age and older) have preference on all courts weekdays 0900 to1200 hours, 1700 to 2000 hours and throughout weekends and holidays. Adults may play with a junior as a partner. Juniors may take open courts, if any, during these times, but must yield to adults who wish to play and must adhere to proper court etiquette. Non-member juniors are only eligible to play in junior clinics and activities but may not use the courts for open play.
Reservations may be made up to seven days in advance. Reservations must be made online through the website. Reservations may be forfeited if you do not arrive within fifteen minutes of the reserved time.
All players must wear appropriate shoes, shirts, shorts, dresses and skirts that are specifically designed for tennis. Sports jerseys, bathing suits/board shorts, cotton t-shirts, graphic tees, gym or basketball shorts etc. are not allowed.
Players have the option to wear all white or colored tennis attire. Although not required, members are encouraged to show their Noroton Yacht Club spirit and include the burgee on new gear. The Tennis Pros will have an online store with various clothing options for juniors and adults and currently owned attire may be optionally embroidered at EPOD in Darien. If you have questions regarding the tennis dress code, please speak to the Tennis Pros or the Tennis Chairs.
Please inquire directly with the Tennis Pro to book lesson times and clinics. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for all clinics and private lessons. If you need to cancel, please contact Wim at email@example.com. Clinics will be prorated for special events and holidays. The Tennis Pros retain the right to close the courts for maintenance or weather conditions.
The Tennis Pro Shop has all the latest tennis racquets, strings, attire and accessories and provides restringing, logo work and grip repair. The right equipment does affect the way you play so please make sure to consult the tennis staff before making any purchases.
